l’anniversario
Una giornata ricca di colori, parole e sogni in onore di Giulio Regeni a sei anni dalla scomparsa
People hold signs depicting Giulio Regeni and reading ''365 days without Giulio'' as they attend a march in memory of the Italian researcher at Sapienza University on the first anniversary of his disappearance in Egypt, Rome, Italy, 25 January 2017. Italian President Sergio Mattarella on the same day called for cooperation to bring the killers of Regeni in Egypt to justice. 'Italy has mourned the killing of one of its studious young people, Giulio Regeni, without full light being shed on this tragic case for a year, despite the intense efforts of our judiciary and our diplomacy', Mattarella said on the first anniversary of Regeni's disappearance. 'We call for broader and more effective cooperation so that the culprits are brought to justice'. Guilio Regeni was an Italian PhD student researching the independent trade unions in Egypt, he disappeared on 25 January 2016 in Cairo, then his body was found in a ditch on Cairo-Alexandria road outside of Cairo on 03 February 2016 with signs of torture.
